About Our Leather
Full-Grain Hide
Small bags demand better leather — not less of it. Our small leather bags are made from full-grain Australian cowhide, the highest grade available. The natural surface of the hide is left completely intact, so what you're holding is real leather in its truest form. No correction layer, no surface coating to hide what's underneath. Just a small bag built to last as long as you need it to.
Aniline Dyed
Colour worked through the hide, not painted on top. Aniline dyeing produces a depth and richness that surface finishes simply can't achieve — and because the colour is part of the leather rather than a layer sitting on it, it won't crack, chip or peel with everyday use. Your small leather bag will hold its colour through years of regular carry.
Naturally Milled
Each hide is gently tumbled before cutting to develop softness without sacrificing structure. A small bag needs to feel good in the hand and under the arm — the milling process ensures it's supple from the moment you pick it up, while the full-grain construction means it holds its shape through a full day's use.

WHY A SMALL LEATHER BAG IS WORTH DOING PROPERLY
The temptation with small bags is to go synthetic — they're smaller, so it feels like less of an investment. But small bags get handled more than almost anything else you own. They're picked up, set down, opened and closed dozens of times a day. That's exactly why the material matters more, not less.
Full-grain Australian cowhide is sourced as a natural by-product of the meat industry — one of the more sustainable material choices compared to synthetics that degrade quickly and shed microplastics over time. Our leather is sourced from LWG Gold-rated tanneries, tanned using SFERE technology to reduce water and chemical impact, and finished with REACH-certified dyes. Every hide is 100% traceable to origin.
Lined with RPET fabric made from recycled PET bottles — durable, considered, and keeping plastic out of landfill. Shipped in Hero Packaging that breaks down completely within 90 to 120 days.

How It's Made
Every small leather bag in the Wolff Studios collection is handcrafted in small batches by skilled artisans in India, working in SA8000 and ISO 14001 certified facilities. SA8000 is one of the most rigorous independent standards for ethical labour — covering fair wages, safe conditions, and responsible management at every level of production. ISO 14001 ensures the environmental impact of the facility is actively monitored and managed.
Small batches mean more attention per piece. Every stitch placed by hand. Every edge finished with care. That's what a small bag built to last actually looks like on the inside.

Frequently Asked Questions
Depends on the style, but our compact bags are designed to carry your daily essentials — phone, keys, cards, lip balm, and a few extras. Check individual product dimensions for exact capacity. For days when you need more, our tote and work bag styles have you covered.
Full-grain leather is the most durable form of leather available — and that applies regardless of the size of the bag it's made into. Our small leather bags are built to the same standard as our larger styles. Same hide, same tanneries, same construction. The only difference is what fits inside.
Full-grain leather will pick up light surface marks with regular use — this is normal and part of how quality leather develops character over time. Most marks buff out easily with a soft cloth. The hide underneath is extremely tough and won't deteriorate the way synthetic materials do.
Wipe down with a dry or slightly damp cloth for everyday maintenance. Apply a leather conditioner every few months to keep the hide supple and maintain colour depth. Store in the dust bag provided when not in use, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Yes. Our bags are lined with RPET fabric — made from recycled PET bottles. It adds durability to the interior, keeps plastic out of landfill, and uses significantly less water and energy than virgin polyester to produce.
