About Our Leather
Natural Full-Grain Surface
Tan leather shows the hide at its most honest. Our full-grain Australian cowhide is left with its natural surface intact — no correction, no pigment layer to smooth out what's underneath. What you see is the actual grain of the hide, with all its natural variation. No two bags look exactly the same.
Warm Aniline Finish
The warm tan tone is achieved through aniline dyeing — a process that works colour into the leather rather than coating the surface. The result is a finish that feels natural because it is. Soft, matte, and full of depth when the light catches it right.
Develops a Beautiful Patina
Tan leather is the most expressive colourway when it comes to ageing. The natural tones shift with use — handles warm slightly, body deepens. Areas of regular contact develop a rich, honey-toned patina that no other material replicates. It's not wear — it's character.

WHY TAN LEATHER IS THE MOST VERSATILE CHOICE
Tan leather sits between neutral and warm — it works with everything from white linen to charcoal knit, and doesn't compete with bold colours the way darker leathers can. It's the bag you reach for every day without thinking about it.
Beyond versatility, tan full-grain leather is one of the most honest material choices available. Sourced from LWG Gold-rated Australian tanneries, processed with SFERE technology to reduce environmental impact, and finished with REACH-certified dyes. 100% traceable from hide to finished bag. Natural by origin, built for the long term.

Frequently Asked Questions
It requires a little more attention than black or brown, but nothing demanding. Wipe down regularly with a dry or slightly damp cloth. For marks, a dedicated leather cleaner works well. A good conditioner applied periodically will also help the leather resist surface staining.
Yes — and that's part of what makes it beautiful. Full-grain tan leather naturally deepens with use, developing a rich honey-toned patina in high-contact areas. It's a living material that changes with you rather than fading and deteriorating like synthetic alternatives.
Prolonged direct sun exposure can cause uneven lightening on any leather — store your bag away from direct sunlight when not in use. A leather conditioner with UV protection can help if you're regularly in a sunny climate.
Our tan colourway is available across selected tote and work bag styles. Check individual product pages for available colour options — not all styles are produced in every colourway.
Tan is a lighter, warmer tone — closer to natural, undyed cowhide. Our chocolate brown is a deeper, richer shade achieved through a heavier aniline dye process. Both are full-grain Australian cowhide, both age beautifully — just in different directions.
